What is a Manifesto?
Manifesto: “A declaration of one’s beliefs, opinions, motives, and intentions. It is simply a document that an organization or person writes that declares what is important to them.”
The first step was to start writing down my virtues and values that I felt were important to me. My next step, I used a few of my favorite quotes I have written down in my journal. Picking the topic(s) I wanted to write about was my next step, so after writing them down in a journal, I started playing with my words, phrases and quotes in power point.
The language and phrases I used were intentional. Taken from Conscious Language I only want to “speak what I choose to come into manifesto, moment to moment.” Using words like “I choose,” or “Be” were important to me in my Manifesto.
This Manifesto that I created is taped to my desk, helps to remind me of my priorities, and keeps me focused on what is important to me. My Manifesto also helps me with staying on track of my goals that I created at the beginning of the year.
In conclusion I believe everyday there are many things we can do to better ourselves. I believe in continuing to learn and seek to be better than we are at this very moment. Creating a Manifesto I believe will help me do this.
